FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

RSVPs are due by September 1st, 2024 to allow time to provide a final headcount to our vendors. Unfortunately, if you do not RSVP by the deadline we may not be able to accommodate you.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony starts promptly at 4:00 p.m. Guests will be allowed into the ceremony space beginning at 3:15 p.m., but if you’re here early you are welcome to hang out at the bar downstairs and grab a drink while you wait! Guests who arrive late may be asked to remain in the bar area until the ceremony is concluded.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We encourage you to try to out dress us! The dress code minimum is cocktail attire, and the maximum does not exist. Floor-length sequins? You’ll look great on the dance floor! Bright orange tux? You do you, but we will be making Dumb & Dumber jokes. Come prepared. We want you to be absolutely feeling yourself and photo-ready (hint hint). The wedding party will be wearing greens and blacks, but you are under no obligation to avoid their colors. Please don’t be the person who wears white.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Yes! Spouses and significant others that we are aware of are included on your invitation. Others are allotted one guest each, which is also indicated on the invitation. When submitting your RSVP, please be sure to provide the name of your guest if not already specified. If you wish to bring an additional guest, please contact Kate or Blake directly. If there’s room in the headcount, it’s probably a yes!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

No, our wedding is adults-only. We encourage you to treat our wedding as a date night and take advantage of the open bar!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Totally. We are already working to accommodate various dietary needs. All we ask is that you let us know as soon as possible so that we can coordinate with the caterer to have options available for you.

Question

Will there be an open or cash bar?

Answer

We are providing an open bar through the end of the reception. The bar at the afterparty will be a cash bar.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

A hotel block is reserved for our guests at the Springhill Suites in Wheeling. Please see the Travel page for additional details.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Transportation will be provided to and from the venue for hotel guests. Please see the Travel page for more details.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking at the venue is limited and strictly enforced. Please visit the Travel page to view the venue’s parking information.

Question

Will any of the events be outdoors?

Answer

No, the ceremony, reception, and after party are all going to held indoors at Waterfront hall.

Question

Anything else I should know?

Answer

Our venue is really strict about two things: no outside alcohol and no smoking/vaping indoors. Please don't get us kicked out!

Question

I have a question that hasn't been answered. Who do I contact?

Answer

You can feel free to contact Kate or Blake directly with any additional questions leading up to the wedding. Alternatively, you can email us at edwardsandco24@gmail.com. We can't wait to see you!
