Wedding Party

Emily Sparrow

Matron of Honor

I met Emily before college since we were paired as roommates and quickly realized they had made a perfect match! Emily and I were so similar in personality, academic pursuits, and our lack of interest in making our beds. We became best friends - sharing countless laughs, cries, study sessions, and crazy night outs! We grew from shy college freshmen, who had to plan in advance any comments we wanted to make for class participation, to outgoing young women not afraid to dance on a bar for a free drink! Emily is so many things: a wiener dog enthusiast; a grade A rapper; the muse of poets (shoutout to The Road Not Taken Clover Edition); and a great friend - who I'm honored to have in my wedding! Emily is now married to Alex Tsiukes and is serving in the Peace Corps in Mongolia. Love you Ems!

Cameron Kutz

Best Man

I met Cam via the Lexington high school Cross Country team. There are some friends in life where no matter how long it's been, you pick up right where you left off. Every time we get together, there is always a good conversation to be had, be it over the phone 500 miles apart or smoking cigars and drinking scotch together. Whether it is discussing Cam's lastest read on consciousness or freaking out over the news of the day, Cam always provides a grounded perspective, with a touch of humor. The first time Cam met Jessie, I told him I was going to propose and he said it was the best decision I would ever make. Today, Cam owns a home in Winnsboro, SC and works at the South Carolina Election Commission processing bribes from the Russian government. Love ya, bro!

Carolina Pham

Maid of Honor

I met Carolina my freshman year of college since she was one of Emily's best friends from high school. She along with our wedding officiant, Victoria, became a quartet - eating all our meals together, having group study sessions, and living in a four-girl suite. During our sophomore year, Carolina and I had to stay up all night studying for a final, and that night our relationship evolved from good friends to best friends! From that day on, no secret was too personal or story too scandalous; we shared everything with each other. She is a fun, reliable friend who I can always trust to provide support, cheer me up, or provide honest outfit advice prior to going out! Carolina is now in her second year of pharmacy school at UNC Chapel Hill and is dating Daniel Tobben. Love you Cars!

Matthew Garcia-Lynn

Groomsman

Wooooody! Since the dawn of our time, no man has had a nickname stick quite like Woody. I met Woody my freshman year of high school on the first day of cross country practice. In fact, I was there when he was dubbed his famous nickname. Whether it be the Friday morning track workouts at Lexington, rejoining forces on the Winthrop cross country team, or having a great time together catching up for drinks today, some of my most hilarious memories have been with this man. Woody is a dependable guy with a big heart and it has been a privilege to call him my friend over the years. Currently, Woody lives in Rock Hill, SC and is pursuing a career as a real estate agent. Love ya, dude!

Sarah Temple

Bridesmaid

I met Sarah my freshman year of college when she began to date Matt Egbert, one of Blake's roommates (now one of Blake's groomsmen). Sarah was always an advocate for Blake and I throughout the early stages of our relationship. She was actually the first person to hint to me that we would make a good match, and our first kiss was shared at her 21st Birthday party! After Blake and I started to see each other, my friendship with Sarah just got stronger since we all started to hangout together as two couples. Now she is one of my best friends and confidants, and I'm so excited to have her in my wedding! She and Matt are still together, and she will soon be starting graduate school for speech pathology. Love you Sarah!

Matthew Egbert

Groomsman

I met Matt my freshman year of college via the Winthrop Cross Country and Track team. We started rooming together in our sophomore year of college and continued to do so until graduation. During that time Matt and I built a strong friendship consisting of 6 am weight-lifting, late-night soccer games, an excessive amount of GTA V, and - if I'm being honest - drinking the cheapest beer we could find, Milwaukee's Best. Alongside Sarah, Matt's support was critical to the early stages of Jessie and I's relationship. I couldn't have asked for a better roommate to spend my college years with. Currently, Matt lives in Raleigh, NC and works at UNC REX Hospital as an inpatient pharmacy tech with an eye toward grad school. Love ya, man!
