Throughout college, Blake worked for a startup company called Redee Patch. Even after graduating and moving to Atlanta, Blake still helped out with the company. Jacob and Blake became friends with Ryan (the founder of the company) and his girlfriend Rachael. As Jacob started to brainstorm different ideas for the proposal-he made one thing clear-it must be a complete surprise. Jacob decided to involve Ryan/Redee Patch to totally throw Blake off. Jacob called Ryan and he was in for the plan. On their weekly calls, Ryan tells Blake that he would like to revamp the website's Meet the Team page. Blake thought nothing of it because the whole website was currently getting a refresh. He connected her with a "friend of a friend" who is a photographer and sent Blake his number to set up a "time" to meet. He also mentioned that she should choose a spot that reflects the city she lives in since all the team members live in big cities. Jacob knew exactly what Blake would say. Piedmont Park overlooking the skyline of Atlanta. So, the whole time, Blake thought she was texting her photographer for headshots. In reality- it was the secret photographer that Jacob had hired. Being the good girlfriend she was- Blake had the great idea of asking Ryan if Jacob could hop in some photos since they had the photographer for an hour. Can't let a good photo-op go to waste! Ryan of course agreed and Jacob secretly jumped for joy because Blake had just made his life a whole lot easier. Blake gets ready for the day and makes sure her hair, makeup and outfit is on point. As they walk into the park to meet the photographer, she mentions that people probably think they are getting engagement pictures made. *Cue Jacob breaking out into a sweat* Blake introduces the photographer to Jacob and the photographer plays along like he has never talked to Jacob in his life. Very sly. The photographer poses her with her back to Jacob facing the skyline and as she turned around Jacob was on one knee!
