Our Best Day

Bride version: We met in 2014 in Denton. I was in grad school. Blake was in college at UNT. We met at Lucky Lou’s over a game of pool. I gave the guys a ride back to his truck. Along the way he said he knew the song playing and I bet him $500,000 that he didn’t know the song because it was a Buffalo Parade CD and they’re from Crandall. I learned $500,000 later that Crandall is where he’s from.

6.28.22 We were on vacation in Hillsboro Beach, Fl. After dinner we went for a walk along the inlet and he proposed on a dock over Lake Placid. We ran back to the hotel to look at the ring in the street light.
