HOW THE LOVE STORY BEGINS

Was it love at first swing? Here is how the story goes...

Bre had spent years living out of California, from Texas to Arizona. In 2013 she finally got to a point where she wanted to be home in California, close to her friends and family. Once she had made her move, a friend that she played travel softball with, Ashley, noticed on Facebook she was living in the area and recruited her to play on her slow pitch co'ed softball team. With hesitation, because of past softball shoulder injuries, Bre decided to join the team. And, she is so glad she did! Blake had been playing on this very softball team on and off for the past 4-5 years before Bre made her appearance on the team. In fact, during Bre's first game, he was immediately her biggest fan on the team as she approached the plate, down runs , bases loaded and wearing her Figgin's Angels shirt. Bre vividly remember's hearing Blake yell, "Let's go FiggyPoo" right before she hit the game winning run in. The banter and fun only started there. They played about a year together before Blake got the courage to ask Bre for her number at Ashley and Mike's annual Christmas Boat Parade Party. He quickly asked Bre out on a date and then followed up asking her to be his New Year's Date in 2014. It's been a fun, wild ride and they are ready to marry each other in front of their Family and Friends! Blake would like to thank you all for your patience!

The Engagement

Everyone! Finally! It happened!

On October 14, 2018 Blake and Bre got engaged. Earlier that week Blake asked Bre if she wanted to relive a date they had when they first started dating. If you know Blake, you know Blake doesn't make many of the plans, so Bre was extremely thrilled and couldn't turn it down. The day they had planned to go actually poured rain so they had to go the following day and it was oh, so perfect! As they were leaving the house, Bre was so confused why Blake was set on bringing his jacket along. He convinced her once the sun went down it would get chilly and he didn't want to be cold. In fact, she bothered him so much about this, he convinced her to go get her sweater as well. Poor guy, haha. Bre and Blake roamed the pumpkin patch for their perfect pumpkins. Where they approached a cute photo op. Bre asked a woman to take a picture of them on the hay stacks. If you look at the picture, you will see it is set up with tons of pumpkins around it for a cute photo. However, when they went to get situated, Blake was extremely flustered by the amount of pumpkins by his feet so they had do to some maneuvering of the pumpkin props. Finally, the woman was able to snap some really adorable pictures of them. Once she was done, she went to give Bre back her phone and Blake blurted out "No, one more!" This made Bre laugh, she thought he was giving the lady a hard time but he was serious. As Bre went to get situated for another picture, Blake got down on one knee. She was fully surprised and it was absolutely perfect! #itsaboutdamntime
