Our story begins during our freshman year at Florida State University, though we hadn’t met yet. Both of us, by sheer coincidence, decided to audition for the FSU Flying High Circus. Blake, a lifelong gymnast, was no stranger to flips and tricks. Ashlyn, on the other hand, was a self-proclaimed band geek venturing way out of her comfort zone. When Ashlyn walked into the circus tent for auditions, not knowing a single soul, she spotted a boy wearing a Vikings shirt. Summoning her courage, she walked over, sat down beside him, and introduced herself: "Hi! I'm Ashlyn!" What she didn’t know was that she had already made an impression. Later that day, when Blake’s roommate asked how auditions went, his response was simple but telling: “They were good—I met this cute girl.” A few weeks later, both were accepted into the circus, and their story truly began. From those early days under the big top to where we are now, our bond has grown in ways we never could have imagined.
