Like many great love stories, ours began in law school. Although, if you’d asked either of us at the time, we probably wouldn’t have predicted we’d end up here. We were in the same law school section and first met at a Super Bowl party. Neither of us thought much of it at the time, but as we started spending more time together, we grew closer. It took us a little while to figure things out, but eventually, somewhere between friendship, good timing, and a little bit of fate, everything fell into place. Somewhere along the way, we became best friends. We graduated from law school together, survived the bar exam, and began our careers as attorneys. Along the way, we became each other’s favorite person to do life with. We’ve also managed to survive the Ole Miss–LSU rivalry. Will, an Oxford native and die-hard Rebel, and Blake, a lifelong Tiger and LSU graduate, have learned that love can overcome even the greatest of differences. Including the Great Kiffin Betrayal of 2025. And fittingly enough, it was on the way to an LSU football game that Will asked Blake to marry him. Turns out, even a house divided can have a pretty happy ending! Now, after law school, the bar exam, countless football Saturdays, and plenty of good-natured arguments, we’re getting married! On May 22, 2027, we’ll exchange vows in the little Catholic church where Blake grew up and celebrate at her family home in Tallulah, surrounded by the people who have been part of our stories long before they became one. We can’t wait to celebrate with you, but most of all, we can’t wait for all the ordinary and extraordinary days ahead.
