Our fairy tale began at the Collier County Sheriff's Office. We knew of each other years before we spoke from working in the same office. On January 31, 2017, Blake messaged me on Facebook. (cliche I know) We messaged back and forth for a couple of days and then Blake finally asked me on a date. On February 3rd, we went to a dinner and a movie. The movie was a musical, La La Land, which we both laughed through most of, along with the other 4 people in attendance. Blake swears I set him up and knew it was a musical we were going to see. I swear I didn't. After that night, the rest is history.

We had a weekend planned to go to our favorite place in the world, Disney World! While checking our fast passes I noticed a reservation for dinner at Cinderella's Castle, which seemed odd to me because Blake had never mentioned it. I asked Blake about the reservation and he shrugged it off saying that he made the reservation to surprise me since I had talked of always wanting to dine there. The day of, he seemed really nervous that we weren't going to make the reservation on time and in route to the Castle it began to downpour!! When we arrived to Cinderella's Castle we were drenched. While having dinner Blake mentioned that after we got home we should go back to the jewelry store to look at rings again, which threw my suspicion off. After the waiter took our plates he said he would be back with a dessert tray. He arrived with a covered tray and when he removed the lid I saw a glass slipper. I looked at Blake oddly and as Blake was getting on one knee he said said, "I love you and I can't imagine my life without you, will you marry me?". I covered my face and began to tear up and said, "YES!"
