A long time coming

Our story began when we met during the 6th grade at Liberty Hill Middle School in Killeen. We both recently transferred to LHMS and somehow had friends in common. From there, we slowly got to know each other and the rest is history

At one point, we were no longer on speaking terms. High school teenager non-sense. Vanessa reached out to Blake through Twitter, an old account that he forgot he had set up, to mend up the relationship. Secretly, we both knew we were eager to rekindle the friendship. Somehow Twitter saved our relationship and we still don't use it to this day

On a random day, Blake's long time family friend and our at-the-time boss, Sheryl, called Blake's mom, Jeanie. She asked his mom "What do you think of Vanessa?" "I like her," thinking that Vanessa was causing trouble. Our boss responded and said that she was going to set us up. From there on out, she was putting us together on caterings.

After a fun date at the mall, playing arcade games and strolling through the stores, we both went back to Blake's truck to chill and listen to some music. Unknown to Vanessa, Blake made his own playlist on a CD that he had playing in his truck. As we were listening, a track came on with a recording of him confessing his love and then asking her to be his girlfriend

After graduating college, Blake and Vanessa both landed jobs that took them to Austin, TX. We both moved out to a small apartment and spent five years working hard and saving as much as we could. We then saved enough to buy a house out in Liberty Hill, TX

On a wonderful camping trip to Caprock Canyon State Park, Blake took Vanessa out on a morning stroll to mess with his new drone, as a rouse. For a few minutes he "practiced" taking some wide shots of the canyon. After a few attempts he surprised Vanessa by getting down on one knee and asking her to marry him
