Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

The Carolina Girl Yacht is located at a public marina so parking is limited and not guaranteed. We strongly recommend that you rideshare with Uber or Lyft. The vessel is approximately 15 minutes by car from downtown Charleston, 15 minutes from Central James Island, and about 23 minutes from Folly Beach.

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The answer is EARLY. Guests can start boarding at 5:45 pm ET. The boat will depart PROMPTLY at 6:00 pm ET – don't get left behind and miss the fun! The boat is docked about a 5-minute walk down the dock from the parking lot.

Question

What is the attire?

Answer

Garden Attire "Garden wedding attire" typically refers to a semi-formal dress code with a focus on light, airy fabrics, floral prints, and bright colors, ideal for an outdoor setting like a garden, often including knee-length or midi dresses, jumpsuits, or a stylish skirt and blouse combo, with comfortable footwear like wedges or sandals suitable for walking on grass (Or a yacht); essentially, a more whimsical and playful take on cocktail attire with a nod to the natural surroundings. NOTE: No stiletto or similar high heels will be allowed on the yacht.

Question

I will need to leave early, is that ok?

Answer

We will be sad to see you go before the night is over, but the boat will return to the dock 1 hour before the event ends at 10:00 pm ET if you need to head out early. So you're pretty much stuck with us!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Unfortunately due to being on a boat we are limited with space and are unable to have children attend unless specifically called out on your invitation.
