Unplugged Ceremony
Answer
Due to the intimacy of the occasion, the bride and groom are requesting that their ceremony to be unplugged. Please refrain from taking pictures and/or videos as the bride and groom have hired vendors to capture their special moment.

Dress Code
Answer
We invite our guests to dress in elevated, yet comfortable, seasonally-inspired attire. For women, midi or maxidresses, dressy jumpsuits, or fall-inspired outfits in warm earth tones or rich autumn colors are perfect. For men, dress pants with a button-down shirt are ideal. Ties and sport coats are encouraged but not required. Earth tones, neutrals, and classic fall colors complement the setting well. Please refrain from wearing denim. Please avoid wearing white, as that is reserved for the bride. The weather in Southern Indiana can be very sporatic. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND looking at the forcast a couple days prior to decide if layers, umbrellas, or lighter clothes are appropriate.

What time should guests arrive?
Answer
The ceremony begins at 4:30 PM CDT, but we kindly ask that guest arrive no later than 4:00 PM CDT, to allow time for parking and seating. There will be a designated parking area, labeled, in front of the venue. Please refrain from parking anywhere else on the venue.

Can I bring a plus-one?
Answer
Due to limitied space, if your invitation included a plus-one, it will be clearly listed on your RSVP. We wish we could invite everyone!

Are kids invited?
Answer
We love your little ones, however, due to limited space we cannot accomodate everyone's little ones! Children invited will be clearly stated on the invitation, and we encourage you to use this night as a date night. Thank you for understanding.

Where should guests stay?
Answer
Holiday Inn Express in Tell City, IN Hotel Block: Contact Gary Johnson (317-448-0795) There will be NO TRANSPORTATION provided by the bride and groom. Ubers and Lyfts will not be avaliable, due to the venue's location. Please drink responsibly and plan transportation ahead of time.

Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?
Answer
The ceremony will be held outdoors on top of the hill, overlooking the venue's lake. There will be a golf cart accessible for guests to be taken up the hill before and after the ceremony. The reception will be held in the barn next to the ceremony site. If inclement weather were to occur, the ceremony and reception will be held in the barn.

Yes! Both will be held at Matilda's Event Barn.

Please respond by September 1st, 2026. Please RSVP on the website using the RSVP tag found at the top of the page.

Smoking Rules
Answer
For guests invited who are smokers, there is a designated location that will be clearly marked on site. Please refrain from smoking and/or vaping at any other location on the venue property. Guests who choose to break the rules will be contacted by the bride and groom with a fee implemented by the venue. Thank you in advance for respecting the venue's rules!
