Question

What's the best mode of transportation?

Answer

Transportation can be tricky in Bermuda! We do not have Uber/Lyft and it's important to arrange a taxi to pick you up from the airport. Couple of other options below - https://www.gotobermuda.com/inspiration/article/getting-around-bermuda-group-transportation-options - helpful information! Electric car rental - https://www.gotobermuda.com/inspiration/article/bermuda-car-rental-options Moped rental (strongly discourage) - Oleander Cycles Taxis - there's an app called Hitch that you can download for ordering Taxis, but it's not very reliable. Might be best to use a local taxi service and go through hotel for booking. Public bus - https://www.gov.bm/bus-routes-and-maps

Question

What is the currency?

Answer

The Bermuda dollar and US dollar can be used interchangeably (1:1). American Express is not accepted at a lot of shops.

Question

Can I book an Airbnb?

Answer

Yes! There are a lot of wonderful Airbnb options, but please reach out to us to assist with location and transportation should you go down this route.

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

YES! Bermuda is a British Overseas Territory and passports are required for travel.

Question

What are the best activities ?

Answer

www.gotobermuda.com - will have the answers to all of your activity related questions. Horseshoe Bay beach is a must visit for a first-timer.

Question

Anything else we should know?

Answer

- We drive on the left side of the road - Bermuda operates on the same power supply voltage as the US - May is high season and hotels / flights will book up quickly and get expensive - May 23rd 2025 is a public holiday in Bermuda so don't be surprised if certain places are closed / have limited operating hours - We are in the Atlantic Time Zone (+1 hour to EST)
