To all of our loved ones, thank you for being a part of our lives and supporting us through our journey. We cannot wait to celebrate with you all on our Wedding day. This website will provide all of the must knows for our Wedding such as accommodations, registry, wedding weekend information and more. Ben and I are so lucky to have such amazing friends and family. We love you!
It all began where most great love stories begin, at Harry's Chocolate Shop. The year was 2014, a unseasonably warm January late afternoon, Blaire rushed after class to meet her girlfriends at the bar where they were hanging out with a group of fine young gentlemen also known as Betas. Blaire spotted Ben as she joined the group and instantly wondered who Ben was. She made the first move towards introducing herself and they bonded over their love for Costco and Labrador Retrievers. After many months of denying their feelings they finally made it official post graduation and started dating long distance. After a year of trips back and forth between CA and IN and hundreds of FaceTime calls Blaire finally convinced Ben to move to Indiana. These last six years together they have created so many amazing memories and they cannot wait to spend the rest of their lives together!
After an amazing day at Blaire's lakehouse and a nice steak dinner they went on a walk on the boardwalk in Saugatuck, MI to go "grab a drink". They got to the bar however and really did, "grab a drink." Blaire thought maybe Ben just needed liquid courage so when Ben asked after the drink to go back to the boardwalk she thought "this is it!" Ben stopped Blaire and got in front of her to propose then revealed he couldn't just yet because he still wanted to ask Blaire's dad for permission (Rod had fallen asleep earlier in the day causing Ben to panic and not ask). In pure Ben fashion, he asked Blaire what he should do next! They rushed back to the lakehouse where Ben asked Rod as Blaire of course told her mom the hilarious story of being "half" proposed to. After the blessing was given, Ben walked Blaire down to the lake and to the end of the dock. The moon and stars reflected off of the calm lake and there Ben popped the question!
