Many silly pieces fell perfectly into place the night Blair and Sam met. Sam, expecting to meet a different girl, joined Blair’s coworkers for a night out. He walked through the door carrying two cases of High Noons, and Blair casually said, “Nice mustache.” From that moment on, they were inseparable. They spent the entire night talking and laughing, completely forgetting about everyone else around them. To this day, the biggest debate in their love story remains who made the first move—but somehow, they both won.

It quickly became clear to many that Blair and Sam were meant to be. They each found the person who perfectly complements their sarcastic love language and poorly timed jokes. They never expected to be living the nurse–firefighter stereotype, but the sweet visits at work never hurt. As they grew closer, they discovered how much joy there was in exploring the things they love together—traveling to coffee shops, national parks, farmers markets, and of course, their personal favorite: the bourbon trail.

After Sam had practically moved into Blair’s one-bedroom apartment, it was time to make it official—really cool roommate official. They packed their bags and moved across the hall, making a new place feel like home. On their days off, you can find them cooking, baking, and cuddling with their favorite bean boy, Remi <3

At the last minute, they booked a camper and headed to Pictured Rocks Lakeshore for vacation. There was a suspicion that this might be THE trip. One sunny morning, they planned to hike along the lakeshore. During the hike, Sam dared Blair to walk out and stand on a certain rock near the edge of the cliff. Blair did it, and Sam took a horrible picture. Sam dared her a second time. Annoyed and nervous, Blair walked back to the rock. She turned around—and boom! There was Sam, down on one knee. And yes, Blair cried.
