Please wear evening attire. Please no sweatpants or jeans.

What is the easiest way to get to your wedding venue?

Answer

If you're flying in from out of town, we recommend flying into O'Hare International Airport in Chicago. From there you can take a taxi, Uber, or Lyft to Geneva right from the airport. Alternatively, you can take the "L" (the Blue Line) to downtown Chicago and then take the Metra train (Union Pacific West line) from the Olgilvie Transportation Center to Geneva.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will be outdoors and the reception and cocktail hour will be indoors.

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

Answer

We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a plated dinner. In your RSVP, please select your choice between chicken and steak, salmon, and a vegetarian option. The entire menu is gluten free.

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at a hotel?

Answer

Yes, there are ten rooms reserved at the Herrington at a cost of $309 a night. The room block is available Friday, May 16 and Saturday, May 17. Guests are welcome to reserve a room for one or both nights. To reserve one of these rooms, please call the Herrington Front Desk at 630-208-7433 and ask to make a reservation under the "Dunbar Ostrikov Wedding Block." All reservations must be made by April 17, 2025.

Is there parking available near your wedding venue?

Answer

Yes, the Herrington Inn offers complimentary parking on their south lot, along the building and across the street. Parking is available in these locations overnight.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Answer

The Herrington Inn has a historical beginning dating back to the late 1800s. When construction began around the existing site, they were able to add appropriate ramps and elevators to the main entrance of the hotel and a second spa entrance at the ground level, which both ensure the comfort and direct accessibility for customers with disabilities. Does the Herrington Inn and Spa provide local transportation?

Answer

Local area transportation (within 3 mile radius) is available for registered hotel guests ONLY based on immediate availability & on a first come, first serve basis. Arrangements can be made no more than 60 minutes in advance and is subject to staffing availability at that time.
