We met at 18...he followed me outside and asked me, "What do you think about World Civ class?" I wasn't sure how to respond (too much nervous static trying to formulate a witty response to a nervous question). Nonetheless, we fought through our lumbering, and our young love embedded deeply over the course of the next two years. Although eventually, our young love was broken. 11 years went by without communication, only mutual hope that the other person is finding joy and contentment. Surprisingly, life presented us with a second opportunity, and with intrigued and wary hearts, we went for it. Over time, it was clear what had been lost over the last decade and we vowed to never again jump ship, no matter the course at hand. One evening, we were sitting on the couch chatting about the wonders and challenges of "meeting again" & he seamlessly quotes the phrase, "It was always you." No other words had been so resonating. So here we are folks, in it together again...and we couldn't be more grateful.
