If you're traveling from abroad, we highly recommend arriving a few days early to explore all that Lisbon has to offer! There's so much to discover in the city so staying around downtown Lisbon will give you the perfect base to explore and enjoy the experience.
We would recommend staying in or around one of the following neighbourhoods: Baixa-Chiado, Bairro Alto, Alfama, Príncipe Real or Santos—all lively and central with easy access to attractions and great restaurants. These areas will put you right in the heart of Lisbon, and you'll find plenty of options to suit all tastes.
The wedding venue in Alenquer is a 50-minute drive away from downtown Lisbon and taxis will make getting there easy. We have included some transport options below to help you with the arrangements, however do not hesitate to ask you if have any questions.
Flight
Flying to Lisbon
For those travelling for the wedding, we recommend flying into Lisbon airport (LIS), as it’s the closest to the city and venue. We hope you’ll have the chance to explore and enjoy all that Lisbon has to offer in the days before and after the celebration!
Rental Car
Local Taxi in Alenquer
While we highly recommend using Uber for cost and convenience, we've also included the contact information for a reliable local taxi service as an alternative option. As the venue is in a remote location we advise booking ahead.
