Glacier National Park (50 min from Lakeside, MT): if you can find time to visit GNP we would highlight recommend! Highline trail was a hike we did together but even if you only drive up to Going to Sun road, it’s worth it! Need to get permit and get there early!
Cherry Orchards (15-25 min from Lakeside, MT): The east side of Flathead Lake is known for its cherry orchards. The cherries should be recently harvested during the wedding. Most of the orchards you can visit and many sell more than just cherries. We would highly recommend driving to this side of the lake and stopping by a roadside stand.
Big Fork (20 min from Lakeside, MT): our favorite little city on the lake filled with charm. They usually do a market downtown on Saturdays so keep an eye out!
Mountain Bike Park (in Lakeside, MT): about 5 minutes from wedding venue is Legacy Bike Park. Bikes to rent in the area for around $75-100/day. Morning of the wedding, Greg is maybe looking for a few that want to join him!
Breweries: If Breweries are your cup of tea, there is a couple around the lake including Tamarack Brewery in Lakeside (5 min), Flathead Brewery in Big Fork (20 min) and Glacier Brewery in Polson (30 min).
Whitefish (35 min from Lakeside, MT): charming ski town with a cute downtown and a beautiful lake. It’s gotten a lot more popular in recent years but the water front still has a lot of charm.
(35 min from Lakeside, MT): scenic drive to another lake about 30 minutes from Swan Lake- much sleepier than Flathead.
