Heather Gillies

Heather is a friend of Blair and David’s from DC. Blair and David will both describe Heather as one of the coolest people they’ve ever met after she quit her nonprofit job in DC in 2021 to move to Edinburgh, Scotland, in pursuit of her dreams to become a cheesemonger. Fun fact: The same night that Blair and David met in 2016, they also met Heather. The ladies instantly bonded over their need to make some good girlfriends in the city.
Ben Kimelman
Best Man
Ben is David’s twin brother. Embodying the word fraternal, Ben and David look quite different and have different tastes, though the childhood bickering has (mostly) subsided. Ben recently moved to Nashville from California, where he earned his PhD in physics at UC Davis while, among other things, playing french horn in the university’s symphony.
Shaina Dorow

Shaina is a friend of Blair and David’s from DC. To be honest, Shaina is one of the main reasons Blair and David met along with the rest of their DC friend group. A convener of friends, hostess with the mostess, and a baking talent to rival Claire Saffitz, Shaina is the Cancer ♋️ friend everyone wants, but very few get.
Zach Marlin

Zach is a friend of David’s from high school. They bonded over a mutual love of movies, Pittsburgh sports, and sharing jokes while having a catch. Zach has an impressive knowledge of all things Hollywood and Broadway, and is living out his deep love of theater as a talent agent in New York.
Sara Contreras

Sara is Blair’s best friend from high school. They bonded over their love of Twilight and the friendship has flourished over reality tv, mutual shopping addictions, and love of great comedy for the last 14 years and counting. Without Sara, Blair would truly be far less interesting.
Christian Unkenholz

Christian is a friend of David’s from college and roommate in DC, where he became a friend of Blair’s. Christian is known for his funny stories, playlist-making skills, and encyclopedic knowledge of TV. In college, Christian and David studied abroad and traveled through Europe together, and their adventures have continued on trips with friends around the US.
Alex Doria Fox

Alex is a childhood friend of Blair’s from Cary, NC. With almost 20 years as friends, they’ve seen each other through it all and still geek out over any and all literature or a great book to movie adaptation. Always down to share in a good belly laugh or a tough heart-to-heart, Blair counts Alex as one of the best confidantes and partners in life a person can have.
Perry Dornbush

Perry is a friend of David’s from college. Meeting on their first day in Syracuse, Perry and David quickly bonded over their shared taste in music and sports. An excellent drummer, Perry now lives in Nashville, where he works in the music business while playing in a band.

Delaney is a childhood friend of Blair’s from Cary, NC. With also 20 years as friends, Delaney and Blair have seen each other through far too many funny and embarrassing moments to name. To even more fun times to come - Blair and David are very excited to be living close to Delaney and Darren in their recent move from Pittsburgh to Baltimore!

Alex is a friend of David’s from elementary school. David and Alex’s friendship goes all the way back to 2000, when they became friends over a game of go-fish. An earnest friend, Alex is a talented musician, actor and songwriter, and he enjoys a deep conversation about life as much as a goofy laugh.

Michelle is a friend of Blair and David’s from DC. Teaching everyone who knows her the concept of ‘simple elegance,’ Michelle has been someone Blair looks up to and admires for her zest of life on the daily. From their mutual love of good food and great travel, no doubt they’ll be friends for life.

Max is a friend of David and Blair’s from DC. A person who is always learning, Max is enthusiastic in sharing new ideas he’s discovered from books, articles, podcasts, and from the people in his life. Whether over a good meal or a game of backgammon, Max always has an entertaining story to tell.
Mackenzie Mittleman

Mackenzie is a friend of Blair and David’s from DC. Her and Blair used to be neighbors, and their friendship quickly blossomed over planning group trips, throwing dance parties, and chatting all things public health. DC has been a home to Blair and David for the last 6.5 years in large part due to Mackenzie’s unwavering friendship.
Ish Freedman

Ish is a friend of David and Blair’s from DC. Though they both grew up in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh, they never met until being introduced in DC. An environmental journalist, Ish is never shy to share his love of absurd comedy and eclectic music, and he is David’s only friend with whom he can reliably compare notes on the daily New York Times crossword.
