Blair and I met in the summer of 2016 when she was doing an internship in Starkville, Mississippi. I remember seeing Blair for the first time and thinking she was so beautiful. Over the course of the summer, Blair and I got to know each other better. I wanted to ask her out so badly but couldn’t seem to find the right time. Finally, an opportunity presented itself when Blair mentioned that she would be spending the weekend in Starkville. I planned on asking her early that week so I would have plenty of time to figure out what to do (there are so many things to do in Starkville so it takes a lot of time). Friday rolled around and I still hadn’t built up the courage to ask. I thought about giving up for fear of being rejected, but I realized she is so worth the risk of being rejected. I spent all Friday morning and most of the afternoon thinking about how to ask her, sweating like crazy, and getting absolutely no work done the entire day. Finally, I asked her to go to the movies as we were leaving work and she said yes! That evening we went to the movies, got frozen yogurt and talked for hours at the Mississippi State Drill Field. Neither of us wanted the night to end. It didn't take long for me to know I wanted to spend my life with Blair.

Daniel and I were traveling to Pennsylvania to spend time with my family for Thanksgiving. The day after Thanksgiving we were touring Bucks County with my family, showing Daniel all of the places I had grown up. We went to Augusta Drive and of course stopped at Wawa. We went into Doylestown and stopped at the James Michener Art Museum. Daniel completely surprised me and popped the question at the sculpture garden! I was speechless, but of course I said yes! I was so caught of guard I dropped everything! After, we went to lunch at Domani Star where Daniel and my mom had arranged an engagement party with our close friends and family. We celebrated the engagement with a day in New York City, visiting Times Square and the Statue of Liberty!
