We've made the difficult decision to cancel our wedding celebration on October 23rd due to all of the concerns related to COVID-19. We felt this was the right path forward for the safety of our family and friends. We want to thank you for your understanding, support and love through our engagement and wedding ceremony. With Love, Corey & Blair Merriman
Blair & Corey had an intimate, immediate family only wedding in the backyard of Blair's parents. The ceremony was full of love, laughter, devotion, and support. To add to the surprises, the wedding party was treated to an incredible bagpipe performance of Amazing Grace followed by a lovely dinner. After dinner festivities included one-of-a-kind toasts, an impromptu tribute by the groom's mother, and dancing the night away to the solo musical performance by a member of one of the bride and groom's favorite local groups. It was the most surreal, unscripted, and perfect day of Blair & Corey's lives. They are officially Mr. & Mrs. Merriman! Paul, Robyn, Gemma, Russell and Travis Gentile packed up an RV and drove cross-country to be by their sides. Basil, Julia, Mirabelle and Apollo Merriman loaded up in a conversion van and took a family adventure to stand up with the bride and groom. It would not have been the same without their brothers as their witnesses; and their nieces and nephews as their petal patrol and ring security. Please check the Photos tab for gorgeous photographs of the special day. "I live to love and adore you It's all that I am, it's all that I have" -There Will Be Time, Mumford & Sons and Baaba Maal
Blair & Corey's first date was watching the Kansas City Chiefs bring home a victory over pizza and a couple bottles of wine at Blair's house. One year and three months later, they found themselves parked at a bar anxiously watching yet another Chiefs game. Late in the game Corey miraculously managed to coerce Blair to begrudgingly leave the bar and watch the final minutes at home. Shortly after cheering the Chiefs on to their first Super Bowl victory in 50 years, Corey knelt beside Blair in the exact same spot as their first date and asked her to marry him. Blair & Corey both won the Super Bowl that night and promised to spend their forever and always together!
