Welcome to our wedding website! We can’t wait to celebrate our special day with you. It was a cold night, yet the town still buzzed. Blaine and his friends went to see a movie. 5 young bachelors going out to see a movie... what a great, flawless plan to meet women. They sat in the front row and were really in no shape to behave and watch a movie. They continued on with their adventures to a few bars and finally a restaurant called Burdicks. These young men were shown to their table, but before they sat down, they came across a familiar face. Abbie, a fellow Chemical Engineering student at WMU, was there with some of her friends, including Kara! Blaine ended up coming over to the ladies table and talking with all of them. He was charming and funny and he eventually asked for Kara's number.

Almost two years after meeting, Blaine asked Kara out on a date...and she said no. However, Blaine was determined as he knew that Kara was the perfect match for him. He started asking Kara to walk his dog Max with him as a way to win her over. And since Kara loves dogs, she agreed. After several weeks of going on walks and watching every single Detroit Red Wings game together, Blaine asked her out again and the rest was history.

Kara moved to Johnson City, TN in July 2017. Blaine made many weekend trips down to TN to visit. The two of them went hiking almost every time Blaine visited. In August, they were hiking on the Appalachian Trail and stumbled upon a peaceful overlook with a beautiful view of the mountains. Four months later, Blaine surprised Kara and visited for the weekend. He suggested that they hike back to that overlook, where he proposed! That overlook on the AT will always be one of their favorites! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Tennessee!
