Travel Note
*Application process: Submit your application via the link. *Application fee: An ETA costs £16. *Validity: This requirement doesn't apply if you're only transiting through a UK airport (meaning you are connecting to another flight via the UK). However, there's no harm in having one just in-case. *Notification: Your airline will advise you if you require any entry requirements, so keep an eye out for an email.
Travel Note
There are no direct flights to Santorini. It's likely you will have a layover in Athens or another European city. Our best recommendation is to keep an eye on Google Flights or Kayak. Norse Atlantic Airways also offers affordable flight options to Greece. Please view the link below. The earlier you book, the cheaper the flight. 3-6 months out is typically the best time to buy flights. Select your destination as Santorini (Airport Code JTR) Keep in mind most international flights are overnight, so you'll want to select to fly the day *before* you're scheduled to check into your hotel in Santorini. Flying is, of course, the quickest option (approx 45 mins-4 hrs depending on your layover city). However, if you stay in Athens before heading to Santorini, you can also take a ferry. Ferries range from 5-7 hours. The port of Athens you'll depart from is called Piraeus. Message us with any questions!
Flight
For those that are starting to plan their vacation, we will be leaving NYC on Monday, August 25th (arrival Tuesday, August 26th) and will be in Santorini through Tuesday, September 2nd. Wedding activities will take place Saturday, August 30th-Monday, September 1st.
Hotel
We are staying at Elessa Hotel, located in Pyrgos. Link to the hotel below. Because this is a boutique hotel, there are very few rooms. However, if you would like to stay close to us, we've checked out several hotels on the same street: Skyfall Luxury Suites: https://www.skyfallsuites.com/ Aeon Suites: https://aeonsantorini.hotelbrain.com/ Of course, if you prefer to search for Airbnbs with a group, or a hotel in another area of the island, you are more than welcome!
