Lake Norman State Park
Love hiking? Want to jump into Sam and Macy's favorite lake? this is the perfect spot for you! Lake Norman state park has TONs of beautiful hiking and biking trails to choose from for every level of hiking experience. They also have a free public lake access if you are looking to just go for a swim with no hiking involved!!
Topgolf Charlotte - University
love a friendly competition? top golf is such a fun place for players of all experience levels to go and have a BLAST!! Sam and Macy frequent this place for a fun date night, plus they have great food and drinks!
South End
Take a walk in the most up and coming area in Charlotte! there is TONS of shopping, restaurants bars, and breweries all in walking distance of each other. Some of our favorite places to go in south end: Pins Mechanical Bowling, Puttery (adult minigolf/bar), Atherton mill (shopping), Charlotte beer garden, and of COURSE Jenis ice cream!
Birkdale Village
This is such a fun place to go shop, eat, or just enjoy the scenery and people watching! they have tons of shops and restaurants to choose from including a movie theater but also do free game/movie screenings in the courtyard for all to enjoy! Fun fact: after sam already had bought the ring macy made him go into a ring store here to get sized (little did she know he already had it AND the full proposal planned out!)
Carrigan Farms
Swimming in a deep, refreshing natural quarry is the perfect way to cool off in the summer. lifeguards are on duty during open swim. The quarry is such a cool place where they let you jump off high rocks into the open water or just walk in and swim from the bottom! Be sure to make a reservation and check out their website in advance to sign the waiver:) Not looking to swim? the farm also has apple picking and other activities!
Mac Tabby Cat Cafe - Charlotte
You get to get coffee AND play with cats! What more could you want? plus there's tons to do nearby (especially bars and restaurants!) PS. there are Mac Tabby locations in Concord and Salisbury as well that all are in super cute, walkable areas. this one is just the closest to our venue!
Whitewater Center
A place for all kinds of adventures! white water rafting, zip lines, rock climbing, walks, or just go and enjoy the fun environment and people watch. much of this is accessible for no cost as well! though some activities do require a pass. check out the website for the schedule on live music and to see all available activities!
