A staple for us when we are in town!
This is always one of our first stops! Enjoy the expansive patio and watch the wind surfers on the river. The food menu is very approachable! This is also where we had our first beer as an engaged couple!
We love this small, very-locally owned brewery! The IPA is our favorite. It's right in the heart of downtown, so this is an easy stop while you are out and about!
"The Hook" is a popular place to rent a paddle board, wind/kit surf rentals and lessons! If you'd prefer to just watch the wind surfers, which we often do for hours, I'd recommend Hood River Water Front park!
A short drive from Hood (~30 min) is the Historic Colombia Highway. This is a beautiful drive in itself, but if you have the time it's worth a visit at the many falls along the way, specifically, the Multnomah Falls! There is parking, a view-center and a lodge! If you have additional time, it's worth it stop in Cascade Locks on your way back for a beer at Gorges Brew Co. or Thunder Island Brewing... or both!
This is a favorite lunch spot of ours! Stunning driving views of both Hood and Adam's if you're coming from downtown Hood River. Also... an unbeatable food truck! Enjoy outdoor picnic tables, beer and wine!
This would be a great additional stop on your way to/from the Ski Hill on Saturday! About a 20 min total detour, you end up at Trillium Lake. A small lake with a 3 min walking trial around the entire lake that has stunning views of Hood! You can also paddle board or kayak here!
All I am going to say is that we dream about these burritos.... And also, the drive across the bridge to White Salmon is a fun one! Don't forget to look back for a STUNNING view of the mountain on a clear day.
We love stopping here and enjoying the patio! We love their pastries and their coffee! Brian get's the chocolate croissant, and Kelsey gets the spinach and feta one.
