We were 19 and both excited and nervous for our first date. We met at Bailey Lake Park in Burleson, TX, where we had some fun playing disc golf, filled with lots of nervous talking and laughs. As the night went on, neither one of us wanted to leave, so as the park closed for the night, we decided to continue our amazing first date by sitting on the ground in the parking lot and talking for as long as we could. Would you be surprised if we told you Kennedy did 80% of the talking? Because she did, and Brandon couldn't have cherished every word she spoke more. Story after story, sharing more bits and pieces of our lives with each other, we couldn't get enough. What started as a 6:30 PM date led to an almost 6-hour night, when we both finally left after 1 AM the next morning. We stayed for so long that there was someone who drove by at one point and said, "Just kiss and make up already!" because it looked like we were having a serious discussion in a parking lot, when in reality we were just nervously enjoying the presence of one another, meeting each other's soul mate for the first time. As we eventually decided to leave, our first date was ending, but our story was just beginning.
