FAQs

The Wedding Website of Kyle Oliver and Benjamin Carson
Question

Who is this event for?

Answer

To keep our ceremony day as intimate and special as possible, we've invited only our closest family members. This includes parents, siblings, and grandparents. We ask that you please respect this decision and don't bring anyone else along, as we will be inviting the rest of our family and friends to join us for a larger celebration at a later date.

Question

Will I need a Discover Pass to park?

Answer

Because it is a state park, technically yes, a Discover Pass (or day fee) is required. If you have one, please bring it! But if you don't, no worries. We can cover the cost of a day-pass for you. Get in contact with Kyle at 253-293-6920.

Question

How long will this event be?

Answer

No more than a few hours! We don't expect our ceremony to take more than 15 minutes, and we'd like to get some family photos taken afterwards. We plan to hangout for a couple hours after that (a brunch-style grazing table will be available for snacking) and then we'll be heading off on our weekend mini-moon around 1pm. There is no obligation to stay the whole time though, so you're welcome to stay as long or short as you'd like!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

This is going to be a more casual than formal event, not like a traditional wedding. So more formal than jeans and a t-shirt, but no suits required! We don't have any specific color requirements but if you'd like to "match" the aesthetic of our wedding, our colors are black, blush pink, and greenery tones. Because we'll be in nature, there will also be a lot of neutrals. But matching is in no way a requirement! We just want you to be comfortable. We're crossing our fingers that it doesn't rain, but please keep an eye on the weather in days leading up to the event, just in case. We're still getting married, rain or shine!
