We have cancelled the wedding in Chicago as to find a venue better suited to the world we are living in. We will instead be holding our ceremony and reception at 12 Corners Vineyard on the same date!
We first met in our ninth grade English class at Jenison High School. After a few years of dates and teenage awkwardness we became "official" on February 5, 2009. Just after watching a new episode of the Office: The Lecture Circuit Part 1. Which I think we can all agree is hilariously cringey. Eleven years later and here we are. More in love than ever and incredibly excited to be another kind of "official."
To celebrate our ten year anniversary, we took a last minute weekend trip to Denver, our favorite city. On our second day there we started off strong with bottomless mimosas and chilaquiles for breakfast. Feeding on our buzz we thrifted and bar hopped around Denver until we stopped at Barry's on Broadway for ski ball, pool, and shots. We love ski ball and getting to play for free booze as a prize is up there in our favorite activities. We were really "vibing" all day long; that can't get enough of each other, laughing, and kissing feeling. Honestly, we couldn't have felt more in love. As we walked through the neighborhoods to get back to our Air BnB, the snow silently fell in the winter air around us. In this moment, Brad got down on one knee underneath the streetlight at Pennsylvania Ave and 10th Ave to propose. Alone together on that street corner, we became engaged and celebrated with Benny Blanco's Pizza. Perfection.
