There's plenty of great hikes nearby! We recommend checking out alltrails.com for a list of hikes, such as Eagle Rock, Buzzard Rock (one of our favorite, easy hikes with great 360 views at the top), & Seneca Rocks. If you have extra time, the George Washington National Forest and Shenandoah National Park (via scenic Skyline Drive) are close by as well! Luray Caverns makes for an excellent stop for those who want to enjoy a spectacular underground & unearthly experience. For you mountain bikers, Bryce Resort is a great downhill bike park resort an hour south of Winchester and you can rent all your equipment there (full-suspension bike, helmet, pads). Think ski resort, but for mountain bikes. There's also golf courses and a large lake with paddle board, kayak, canoe, and tube rentals.
Big brewery with lots of food options! For those in town on Friday, we’ll be having an informal welcome meetup here! More details in the Schedule.
There's a 2-block Walking Mall with 20+ local restaurants, unique shops, 4 coffee shops, and 4 breweries. Two historic museums, a children's museum, and a public splash pad as well add options for all. Ample street, lot and garage parking is available.
We recommend checking out the town of Leesburg either on your way to or from Winchester (about 40 minutes away from each other). There's a lot of fun stores, restaurants, and breweries/wineries in and around Leesburg.
