Most young adults now meet on Tinder, and we were no different. We set up a time and date for Max to come to my house (9/2/21) where we planned to make homemade ravioli and watch a movie. It was raining heavily, so Max gave me his address and I went to pick him up so that he didn't have to walk in the rain. I put his address into Google Maps and the GPS led me up and down the same road that I lived on, never keeping his address in the same spot. I pulled back into my own driveway to ask for a landmark near his house since I wasn't able to find it (like an intersection, yard decorations, or a notable neighboring house) when his roommate, and Maid of Honor, Megann came outside asking me if I was looking for him. I told her I was and that's when I realized Max and I were actually neighbors all along. Of course that night we hit it off, made some delicious ravioli, and bonded over our common attraction to Tom Hiddleston while we watched Crimson Peak. The rest is history.
July 2022 was the second Rock Fest that Max had joined my family for. At this point Rock Fest was becoming an annual tradition for my family, and I wanted to ensure that Max was made a part of that tradition indefinitely. Max and I had bonded over a mutual love of rock and metal music since we had met, and I felt as though this would be the perfect venue to pop the question, surrounded by some of our favorite people and our favorite music.
