Question

Will there be assigned seating at the ceremony?

Answer

No. This is a unification of not only the bride & groom, but their families as well. The only reserved seating will be and front row which will be for immediate family not a part of the wedding party & those in the wedding party who may have disabilities which inhibit how long they can stand, as well as the aisle/outer chairs which will also be for those with disabilities and/or who need to use mobility aids.

What is the theme/color pallet?

Answer

Our theme has evolved in description over time, the best description we’ve come up with is “moody Lothlorien meets mid summer nights dream”. For those unaware, Lothlorien is the realm of “the fairest elves of middle earth” in the Lord of The Rings/The Hobbit series. In other words: a moody, dark & whimsical fairy forest. There will be no lack of fairy lights, silk flowers and wisteria garlands. Our colors include dark red/burgundy, gunmetal grey/light grey, ivory, black, forest green and rose gold.

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes, this is not a dry event. However we will be coming up with a signature mocktail in addition to our signature cocktail for any guest who do not wish to consume alcohol. Other non-alcoholic beverages will also be available. That being said please drink responsibly and know your limit, consent and respect is of the utmost importance and any violation of consent or disturbance of any kind can & will result in removal from the venue. Obviously, you must be 21+ to drink and anyone seen consuming alcohol who is known to be under 21 will be removed from the venue if continued after being warned. We do ask that if any guest smokes, excluding vapes, that this is done outside & away from crowded areas. Additionally, please refrain from bringing marijuana/delta variant products due to the foggy legality of them.

Are pets allowed?

Answer

Even though we plan for an outdoor venue, please keep your pets at home. Service animals (not emotional support animals) are always allowed, please notate in your RSVP if you will be bringing a service animal with you so that we’re aware ahead of time & can reserve an accessible chair.

This is a political discussion free event.

Answer

We ask that everyone refrains from topics of conversation that include politics and anything similar. We all have different beliefs and opinions and some are more passionate than others about them. We are here to celebrate together as one family. If you bring up a topic and someone expresses discomfort in the subject matter, please change the subject. If a topic is continuously brought up to you that you are not comfortable with hearing, please alert a member of the wedding party. This can result in removal from the venue.

Songs added to the playlist will be screened before we do so to ensure they don’t contain any non-kid friendly topics…no we will not change the song just because you don’t like the artist or genre.

The dress color.

Answer

This will not be a traditional wedding. The brides dress is not white nor is it majority white, the reception dress will be dark red (essentially matching the bridesmaids) and the cake will follow suit. The decor will be dark and moody and may include visuals of skeletons or other (very mildly) spooky subjects. This IS a wedding in October, after all…and for anyone who knows us closely would expect nothing less and likely more spoon factor. The decor is very toned down compared to our personalities.
