It was a warm and drink-filled night, when their paths crossed. Bitsy was at the side bar of Old Crow, celebrating a fake bachelorette for her friend Abby with all of her friends while Scott and all of his friends were in the middle of the dance floor, nodding their heads along to the music only talking amongst themselves. Scott went to the bar, expecting nothing more than another beer but everything changed when he started making conversation with someone who seemed to be celebrating a soon to be married best friend. Fast forward past one snapchat video, maybe one or two shots and Scott asking Bitsy’s friend Andrew “what’s her deal” and there was a date only two days later at Barcocina. Since then, not a day has gone by since Bitsy and Scott have not talked to each other.

The relationship developed from there, countless drives up and down Racine Avenue, as they trekked back and forth between Addison Street and Montana Street with dates to seemingly every bar and restaurant in the city. Nights out with friends at Lottie's, Sheffield's, Kincade's, Cody’s and the stop back to where it all started, Old Crow. Too many baseball games to count and of course, watching our football teams win and lose (we all know who does the winning and who does the losing). Their love for each other grew, through the ups and downs. Whether it be job changes, an extremely bad mold problem in said Montana apartment where Scott had to invade Bitsy’s space for two weeks, or Scott’s inability to put his shoes away by the front door, their relationship grew stronger and deeper as the days turned into months, then into four years.

Those four years culminated in a beautiful weekend of celebration when Scott proposed to Bitsy outside of their home on North Pond, where they walk almost every day. It included all of their favorite things: family, friends, good food and drinks! We are so excited to move onto our next chapter - marriage. While it may change some things, we are sure our relationship will continue including all of our favorite things, like all of you! We cannot wait to celebrate with you soon!
