The Wedding Website of Sarah Bishop and Eric Whitney
We’re excited to announce our wedding will be held in this beautiful hillside town of Gubbio, Italy at Niki's Resort! Here are some recommended travel routes to get you started on your journey: 🛫Getting To Italy: We recommend flying into Rome Fiumicino (FCO) — From there, you have several options: train + taxi, rental car, or private transfer.

Hotel

Nikis Resort

Località Pieve d'Agnano
Umbria 06024, Italy

We know that traveling to Italy is an investment of both time and resources, and we’re incredibly grateful to anyone who chooses to join us. For our wedding weekend in Gubbio, we are happy to cover our guests’ hotel accommodations for all three nights, with travel arrangements left to each guest.

Flight

Leonardo da Vinci International Airport

We recommend flying into Rome Fiumicino (FCO), also known as Leonardo da Vinci Airport. It offers the most international flight options and is the easiest arrival point for guests.

Rental Car

Rome Fiumicino

Best Flexibility - Rome Airport to Venue 2.5hrs Cars are looking very reasonable on booking.com! Pricing from $58-$100 TOTAL from the 16-19th. There is parking on site at the resort. For those that have been to Europe before this is a given but be mindful of the size of your car and your baggage! The lower prices look great but the cars have no storing space.

Train

Leonardo Express - Perugia Railway Station

Pro's: Scenic / Con's: Multiple stops / longer travel time (could be up to 4hrs) IF YOU ARE STAYING IN ROME FIRST FCO → Roma Termini via Leonardo Express • 30 minutes • $16 pp (fixed pricing doesnt matter when you buy them either in advance or at airport) • If you’re travelling with a group, you can take advantage of the ‘Mini-groups’ fare to purchase 4 tickets in a single transaction for the price of $46 instead of $65! (click the link below to get tickets) • Departure: Fiumicino Aeroporto / Arrival: Roma Termini • Trains come every 15 minutes IF YOURE TRAVELING TO RESORT BY TRAIN Roma Termini → Perugia Railway Station • 2.5–3 hours • $18-23pp depending on train type Perugia Station → Niki’s Resort • 35 min drive • Individual Taxi’s OR if there's at least 20 people, the hotel can provide a shuttle for $30pp To get train tickets from Rome Airport (Fiumicino - FCO) to the city (Termini station), you can buy online in advance via Trenitalia.com, Omio.com or Trainline to name a few or purchase at the airport station from ticket machines or booths, with the fast Leonardo Express (around €14) being the popular choice for direct city access You will see a train option to Umbertide station and yes it is closer to the resort. However, per the venue owner, this station is extremely small and trains rarely come in & out. Keep in mind, some trains won't let you purchase tickets until 6 months out. IMPORTANT: IF YOU BUY YOUR TRAIN TICKET IN PERSON AT A KIOSK get your train ticket validated! You can get a $50 fine for skipping this step! Machines are within the terminals.

Travel Note

Taxi

Unlike NY or London, you cant just wave down a taxi in Italy. You need to call, use a taxi stand, or book through an app. "It Taxi and AppTaxi" connect you with licensed taxis in major cities. Its safer, no scams, and you'll see when your driver is arriving.
