We became aquatinted in a peculiar way, but it’s becoming more conventional these days 😂. One day, in an online Discord Bible Study, I noticed that a very specific attendee (Jonas) was hilarious, and I made a mental note of that, and said “we can be friends.” After a couple of weeks of sending Instagram reels to each other, I sent a risky one about “a church crush,” and from there the conversation obviously just flowed 😂. After about 2.5 weeks of intentionally talking, asking the hard questions, figuring out if our life goals match, and growing a mutual fondness together, we decided that we were in fact dating, and eyeing marriage. About three months after that, Jonas came out to visit me in Oregon and we met in person for the first time. After visiting with each other’s families, we quickly realized that we were definitely going to get married, just had no idea when. Planning, logistics, and details are difficult and often don’t always fall into place… but God has had His hand so sovereignly upon our relationship since day 1 in the Bible study. He has made a way, every step of the way. And while I can only speak for myself, I know that Jonas is exactly the man that I’ve prayed for my entire life. He is full of character, has a great countenance, and his personal moral convictions match mine. After the wedding, we’ll be relocating to New Mexico where he’s stationed and starting our next chapter together, without screens or digital communication required… and I am so excited. 💕 - AC
