In a modern love story that has become so popular these days, the internet put us together. Our love story began the day Abbie just happened to "like" one of Jeremy's pictures on Hinge. A little bit of flirting and possibly even less conversation over the next MONTH brought us to our first date in Hudson, WI. Now we know what everyone is thinking...A MONTH??? Well...things weren't that easy as Abbie tricked Jeremy into one of those long distance relationships, as she was living in Eau Claire and Jeremy in Bloomington. Jeremy must have been smitten though as there was a first date, a second, and then a third, all centralized in public locations, because you know, the internet. Dating in this day and age has been rough, but little did they know that their first date in July of 2021 was the end of one chapter in both their lives. The evening was spent conversing on a rooftop bar, watching the sun fall over the St. Croix River valley, and letting the mojitos fly, Jeremy thought for sure there was going to be another date; Abbie did not. The whole date there were awkward silences, yawns from Jeremy (come to find out, he said it's just a nervous tick), and no talk about seeing one another again. As the date ended they both had huge smiles on our faces, stopped at our cars, and shared their first kiss, there was no goodbye, but as Abbie walked to her car she nervously said, "well, see ya next time?" Abbie had no idea of Jeremy's love for Kwik Trip. She said that because Jeremy still didn't ask about a second date! Sometimes it takes a little bit for things to get through to him, and his sassy reply, "what is this, Kwik Trip?" He still didn't ask for a date though or even a phone number! They made sure each other got home safe that night where Abbie made another move to ask Jeremy for his number. With each of them working two jobs at the time and the distance between them made for a difficult dating journey. They quickly chose to see each other once a week, but busy schedules sometimes pushed that out even further. Lucky enough, their second date was only a week later at a beautiful winery. Even with the distance and the seldom dates it didn't take them long to realize that they were both experiencing something special. In the year and half that brought them to their engagement they have experienced so many fun adventures including meeting each others families, traveling, concerts, and trips to the local ice cream shop. Ice cream is by far their favorite treat and will never turn it down! They love it so much it even makes a guest appearance in their engagement photos. Concerts are a huge part of their social life because that is basically the only reason Jeremy will take off from his second job. Abbie would definitely prefer to travel more than she has the last two years, but she FINALLY convinced Jeremy to leave North America and go to Italy for the honeymoon, a place Abbie just loves! They had a little bit of a backwards engagement as they probably had 50% of their big day planned before they were even engaged, and if you know them, it makes perfect sense. It wasn't all fun and games though, as Jeremy had to scramble and make sure the ring was going to be done before engagement photos were taken. Unbeknownst to Abbie she had planned the perfect night for Jeremy to ask. We needed a date night and Abbie suggested that we go back to that beautiful winery from our second date, little did she know, she was planning the night she would become a fiancé. That winery has become a special place for the both of us as it keeps so much of our history. And that's how we got here...
