We met during training in Mississippi, 2019. While we both should have been studying for our careers, we were instead falling in love! We were quickly separated when Alex had to leave and train in Arizona, then move to Italy for her first duty station. Thus was the start of our long distance journey. We had a committed long distance relationship from 2019 to 2022, where we flew to see each other as often as we could! The longest we went without seeing each other face to face was over a year! We can thank Covid, a deployment, and Alex being stationed overseas for that one....After that year of not seeing each other, when we were finally together for a short couple of weeks, Chase proposed! As Alex had to go back overseas, and was waiting to get orders to another duty station, we decided to have a dual proxy marriage so those orders could take Alex to Chase. It was an easy process. We applied online, paid a fee, and two lawyers got married on our behalf at Glacier National Park in Montana. We were sent an email with our marriage date and location, and an official certificate in the mail! Our official date of marriage is February 10, 2022. Now that we're married, the military put us together, and we've had the rest of our relationship together in person (With the exception of another 6 month deployment of course). As the military is giving us a break from travel, we are happy to finally have a ceremony to celebrate our marriage in with family and friends. Thank you all for being a part of our journey!
