We met at an Irish Pub in Midtown Manhattan on Kim's birthday in 2016. Kim was celebrating in her temporary Verizon "Strike Neighborhood" with her friends, and Patrick was attending a Seton Hall Rugby Reunion at the same bar. The rest is history.
After an unprecedented year of quarantine, we spent Christmas Eve in Phoenixville with the local Duncan family. We came home and watched the classic Christmas movie, "Gremlins" while enjoying some drinks and time with our pups. He suggested we open gifts, however his gift had not arrived yet (still hasn't... but that's for another time.) I opened a very large box, inside was a picture frame, tightly wrapped in wrapping paper and more than enough tape. Inside the frame was "WILL YOU MARRY ME" and he had moved down on one knee. I was completely surprised, and shouted (among other things I won't write on a wedding website) "yes!"
One week after the proposal, on New Year's Eve, we discovered we would be receiving the greatest gift of all time, June Eleanor. We are so in love, and are so excited she will be celebrating the wedding with us!
