One of the most powerful waterfalls in the world and a must see.
Niagara Falls - Canada
Have your passport and a bit of time, eh?! Canada is known for having the better view of the Falls. Only about 45 mins to an 1 hour from downtown (pending bridge traffic).
Devil's Hole State Park
Looking to get a little fresh air? This hiking trail shows some great views of the mighty Niagara River and the powerful whirlpools that form before the falls.
Eternal Flame Hiking Trail
A half an hour from downtown, but another great hike that leads to a naturally burning eternal flame (per the title of the hike).
Canalside
Canalside is at the heart of downtown Buffalo's waterfront revitalization. Canalside hosts hundreds of events throughout the year, many of which are free or low cost to the public. Here you'll find a few restaurants, some fun water activities, the children's museum and a few retired battle ships!

For architecture fans…Martin House, designed by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright is characterized by its spatial openness, horizontal planes, pier and cantilever construction, and palette of natural colors and materials.
Buffalo Architecture Tour
From the clean lines of Frank Lloyd Wright’s work, the early origins of skyscraper design of Louis Sullivan, to H.H. Richardson’s Romanesque style, there’s one other architectural style that is prominent amongst the buildings of Buffalo – marvelous, intricate Art Deco.

A funky hard cider distillery downtown, usually Jon and I pop by here once a visit in Buffalo to grab a few of the seasonal ciders to bring back to Hoboken.

Great spot to have a bite to eat and people watch while visiting Elmwood Village.
