Cocktail attire is recommended.

Question

What are we celebrating?

Answer

We officially married (eloped) last year on October 28, 2022. We want to celebrate our marriage with all our friends and family exactly on the day of our 1 year anniversary! We will also be renewing our vows in the presence of everyone. Binsur will also be relocating from Toronto to Seattle the end of this year, to move in with Brian and close the distance of their long-distance relationship. This event will be a send-off to Binsur as the couple look forward to starting their next chapter together in Seattle.

Question

What can I expect the weather to be like?

Answer

Unfortunately we cannot predict the weather, but from past experience Montreal should not be snowing late October. However, usually it's chilly (49F high - 37F low / 9C high - 3C low) so please bring enough clothing to keep comfortable.

Question

This is my first time in Montreal. What is there to do?

Answer

If you like night-life, there are large amounts of bars, clubs, and restaurants on Saint Laurent Blvd in the Plateau neighborhood. If you like to see beautiful historic European buildings while shopping, we highly recommend exploring the Old Port neighborhood. If you are an outdoorsy person, we recommend hiking up to top of the iconic Mont-Royal (Kondiaronk Belvedere). It has a beautiful view of the city skyline. Montreal has some serious eats!! Our favorite restaurants include: La Banquise (specializes in Poutine, which is a must-try specialty food in Quebec. Huge portions and many different flavors to chose from) Nouilles de Lan Zhou (authentic hand-pulled Chinese noodles) Boustan (a Lebanese fast-food chain) St-Viateur Bagel (makes a Montreal-style bagel, which is thinner and sweeter than your usual bagel) Reubens (specializes in Montreal smoked brisket sandwiches) Omnivore (another Lebanese food chain. Slightly more upscale than Boustan. Both are good in their own ways) Rotisserie Romados (a Portuguese rotisserie chicken restaurant) Au Pied de Cochon (a fancy diner specializing in Quebec / Canadian cuisine. You will need to reserve well in advance as it's very popular) Centrale Bergham (specializes in burger-like sandwiches. One of the quintessential drunk foods)
