How We Met

August 23rd, 2018

In our own separate lives, we had both given up on finding our true loves. So when we both joined Bumble, it was with a “can’t hurt” mentality. When we swiped right, we both thought “why not?” What neither one of us expected was to meet our soulmate on a dating app. We started talking at the beginning of August and a few weeks later, on August 23rd, 2018, we went our first date! It was most definitely worth the wait, as it was the start of the rest of our lives.

The Proposal

October 25th, 2019

We are blessed enough to have a best friend who is also a very talented photographer! So every season, we and our puppy take family pictures. This october marked our Fall pictures and we decided to go all out! We rented a cabin with our friends Jesse and Lyndsey (our photographer) and they brought our puppy’s best friend, Ava. On that friday, October 25th, it rained. All day. Aaron planned to take us on a hike for the pictures, but plans had to be changed. We instead headed off to Odom Springs Vineyards for some wine tasting and cheese, before heading to an apple orchard. After our wine tasting, we thought the porch looked like a good place to take some beautiful pictures, especially with the rain coming down behind us and the grass still damp. We headed outside and Lyndsey told me to look out at the mountains so she could take a beautiful picture. As i looked at the mountains, I thought “huh. How funny would it be if this was when Aaron would propse” and laughed to myself at my own silliness, reminding myself that I was just excited at how beautiful the scene was. Then I heard a familiar word from Aaron, but there was something different in his voice. “Baby.” I turned to see the love of my life on one knee in front of me, holding a small wooden box with our initials in it. I was shocked! He was shaking, which was so endearing. Of course I had hoped he would ask soon, of course I dreamed it would be this beautiful, but I just believed myself to be a hopeless romantic! At that point I started to cry! Aaron said “I love you so much. Cassandra Anne Murray, would you do me the honor of being my wife?” Through my tears I cried “Yes!” Our friends even got videos and pictures of the moment! It was the perfect and I am so blessed that we will have something to look back on for years to come of the moment Aaron Bing asked me to marry him!
