Getting to the Wedding Venue

Our wedding venue will be at Deak Udvarhaz (Kakucs, Nagyligetes Tanya, 2366 Hungary), located in a small village called Kakucs, close enough to Budapest and the airport to make even the GPS excited! We would greatly appreciate if guests could arrive to the venue at 4pm to make sure we get the party started on time! If you're travelling from Budapest or the Airport, we recommend taking Bolt or a pre-arranged taxi (see below Transportation) that will take around 45 minutes from Budapest centre or 35 minutes from the airport. We encourage you to car pool with other guests, it'll sure be a good way to break the ice before breaking the dance floor!

Accomodation

We will no doubt have you dancing till the morning, but for those who need to catch up on their beauty sleep, there will be accommodation at the venue and within a 10-minute drive in the neighboring town of Inarcs. We kindly request that you RSVP noting if accommodation will be required on the night of the wedding (9 June), and we will assist with reserving an accommodation either at the venue or in the village nearby for you. All accommodation will accept card payments, providing convenience for your stay. For those okay with reliving their college days and sharing a room, we will happily assist with reserving accommodation at the venue for you. Don't worry, we will talk to you before we confirm anything to make sure you're 100% okay with your room-buddy. Accommodation will include breakfast and cost 16,000 HUF (~40 EURs) per person. For those who prefer having a private room, we will help you book a hotel room in the nearby village. Transport from the venue to the hotel will be arranged on the day for guests. Accommodation will cost around 24,000 HUF (60 EUR) per room.

Transportation

Bolt We recommend downloading the ride-share app Bolt (the Uber alternative in Hungary), which provides for a cheap and efficient way of getting around Budapest as well as to the wedding venue in Kakucs: http://bolt.eu. Download Bolt before you arrive to hungary, and organise a registered taxi as you leave the airport arrivals hall. Private Chaffeur You can also organise a pre-arranged taxi to Kakucs with Europasofor for around 13,000 HUF or 35 EUR, bookings can be made in advance via email. Contact them directly at: https://en.europasofor.hu. Bus Getting to and from Budapest airport is made easy with the the Airport Express bus (100E) which runs daily, every 7 - 10 minutes, and every 30 - 40 minutes between midnight and 3 am. It takes around 45 mins to get from the airport to the city centre. The cost of the journey is HUF 2,200 (€6) per person, and tickets can be purchased outside Budapest Airport Terminal 2 (accepts cash and card), or at Deak Ferenc Square for the journey back to the airport. The bus has three separate city centre stops, including Kalvin Square, Astoria, and Deak Ferenc Square, and return. All three stops are located right in the city centre, close to hotels in the inner city and the Jewish Quarter, as well as the party hostels in the 7th District. BudapestGO We recommend downloading BudapestGO - the public transport app for Budapest. You can buy single, daily and weekly tickets for trams, buses and trains: https://bkk.hu/en/tickets-and-passes/budapestgo. Make sure to validate your ticket by scanning the QR code which is usually located on the tram or bus.
