We met through "friends of the family." Our initial reaction was mutual, NO WAY! Then Vivek called Binali to express that this isn't working out, they magically just clicked during the phone conversation. The conversation lasted for almost an hour, and both hung up thinking "ok, this is something special!" From the first date on August 26, 2018 till now, it has been a dream come true.

The proposal was to be on the first anniversary of when we started dating, but ended up happening two days prior as a surprise for Binali. During our first weekend together in D.C., we walked on the Watergate steps at 2am admiring the monuments under the moonlight. Fast forward a year, Vivek proposed to Binali on the same Watergate steps at the sunset amongst the closest family and friends. And before Binali could even say YES, the ring was already on her her finger!
