How We Met According to Her

The story you get depends on who you ask, but I think we can both agree it was thanks to mutual friends. While Kenneth knew right away he wanted to get to know me, I was initially unsure. It only took a trip to another continent, a 5 hour time difference, and one very wise father to convince me that one date couldn't hurt. The rest is history! Now, 4 years, 2 dogs, and 1 house later, I am so glad we gave it a shot.

How We Met According to Him

When I met Danielle, I knew I liked her instantly. Though she took a while to warm up to the idea of getting to know me, once we started to spend more time together, our connection was undeniable. While some might say that we made some “unconventional” decisions along the way (like getting a puppy together only 6 months in!), I always knew we were on a path to forever. I hate to say it, but sorry Danielle, I was right about this one!

The Proposal According to Her

I knew October 26th was going to be an exciting day because we were closing on our first home—but little did I know Kenneth had something else up his sleeve! After the closing, Kenneth urged me to go straight to the new house to try our keys for the first time. When we got there, I opened the front door to white rose petals, fairy lights, and big marquis letters that said "Marry Me." The answer was a no brainer!

The Proposal According to Him

As you all might know, Danielle is incredibly hard to surprise, so I had my work cut out for me in devising a proposal. After purchasing her ring, I opted to give Danielle a deferred date of arrival— making her believe she was in control (as always) while giving me the time to plot my romantic proposal of a lifetime! To really sell my story I even had a family friend (who is an amazing jeweler) call the day before the proposal to inform Danielle of a tragic misforging of the ring, resulting in an inevitable delay. Now, I had Danielle exactly where I wanted her. The day of, I zoomed over to our new house to lay out white rose petals and big marquis letters that said “Marry Me.” When we arrived at the house later that evening, Danielle was so oblivious she thought the rose petals leading up our driveway were a gift from our realtor! I wish you all could have seen Danielle’s face when she saw the display I had set up. It was priceless! We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in West Palm Beach!
