Although they lived but five minutes away from one another, they met through the good ol’ Facebook. It started when Chris sent Sam a private message complimenting her. Sam was not in a “relationship” point in her life, yet found Chris to be sweet. After confirming mutual friends, they started talking. This went on for a few months and then Sam decided to give it a shot and go on a spontaneous date with him. That night Sam knew instantly that Chris was someone who was going to leave a permanent mark on her heart. It was a different feeling from anything she had ever felt. It was an instant connection and history ever since! Chris coined the infamous “Baby Boo” nickname shortly after that night. Sam was on a vacation with family down south and kept having to leave the room because her “booooo” or her “babyyyyy” was calling. Her family members found this hilarious and started referring to him as “Baby Boo”. The name has stuck ever since!

Chris proposed on the morning of Sam’s 30th birthday, January 19, 2019. It was true “Sam and Chris” style— Cozy and still in their pajamas!! Sam couldn’t contain herself and immediately started screaming and jumped right on top of him as he was down on one knee. It was truly an unforgettable moment!
