If you have a bit of free time between the ceremony and reception, downtown Detroit offers many convenient options to enjoy. Here is a few we recommend that can be comfortably explored within a short window of time:
*Belle Isle Park- a short drive from downtown, offering beautiful waterfront scenery and easily accessible viewpoints
*Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA)- world-class art museum with an extensive collection, including Rivera's famous Detroit murals
*Greektown- located a few steps away from the church. A lively area with several spots perfect for a snack, coffee, dessert or cocktail
*Campus Martius- central downtown plaza where guests can sit, explore and take in the charm of the city
