Where should we stay?

Answer

The wedding is in Downtown Seguin Texas. There are Airbnb/Vrbo options in downtown Seguin, as well as several hotel options along I-10 (5min drive). You might also consider staying in a nearby city such as New Braunfels (~20min) or San Marcos (~30min).

Traveling from out of state?

Answer

The two closest airport options are Austin-Bergstrom and San Antonio airport. San Antonio is closer by ~20 minutes. We highly recommend renting a car, as Uber/Lyft options are limited in Seguin. If you have more time and want to explore, let us know! We would love to offer you travel recommendations in the area, but if you've never been, make visiting Austin, TX, a priority!

What to do in Seguin?

Answer

Seguin is small, but there are still some great things to do and see! Restaurants: Burnt Bean BBQ in Downtown Seguin just won Texas Monthly #1 BBQ! The line is long but it is a must-visit! The brisket is incredible. If you want incredible Texas BBQ but on't want to brave the long line at Burnt Bean, City Market in Luling is one of the best in the state and only a ~15 minute drive! Our other favorite spots include A-Tan, Kirby's Corner, Los Chilaquiles, and Noe's Tacos breakfast tacos. Nightlife: Seguin nightlife is not bad for a small town! Our favorite bars downtown are Wayside, Schulz Saloon, and Seguin Brewing Co. Park/Golf/Disc Golf: Starcke Park is a gorgeous green space to go walk through, especially if you're a golfer or disc golfer - really great courses on both fronts! Starcke Park Golf was recently renovated, and the new course will be open June 1st! Billy used play there all the time. Other Cities: We also highly recommend spending some time in Austin/San Antonio. Both are incredible cities with fantastic restaurants, nightlife, outdoor spaces, and more! What will the weather be like?

Answer

It's gonna be hot! Temperatures can range around the 90s in June (we are sorry), and evenings in the low 80s. We will have big outdoor fans to help keep you cool, but please dress comfortably!

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony and reception will be outdoors. Fans will be on-site to keep your cute self cool. You are more than welcome to make yourself at home in the venue house throughout the wedding as well.

What should I wear?

Answer

The wedding will be a backyard Garden feel. Garden/California Casual: Sundresses, color or floral prints, suits in lighter hues, linen pants, etc. Wear what makes you feel your best self, keep in mind it will be warm!

While we adore your little ones, our wedding ceremony and reception will be adults only.
