The day started with what Kelley thought was -- just another -- backpacking trip to the Red River Gorge. After several miles of hiking up the ridges, she found out that this wasn't the case! Billy had convinced her that he was just wanting to take her photo overlooking the views from Auxier Ridge. As she was facing away from the camera, Billy got down on one knee and asked if we could spend the rest of our days together. Of course, she said "YES!" After spending some more time at our spot, we packed back up and kept moving to set up camp for the night - capping off the evening with freeze-dried meals and *trying* to make a campfire.

We are doing a small elopement with our moms, dads, and siblings in the Red River Gorge on June 3rd, 2023. We will then be flying out to Kona, Hawaii to spend our honeymoon together. We are looking forward to hiking through the tropical forests and volcanoes, touring coffee plantations, and enjoying the white, black, and green sand beaches!
