On-island transportation
There are several ways to get around on the island: 1 - there is a free shuttle between Champlins (venue) and Aldo's (in town) that runs every day from 9 am to 9 pm. 2 - many people bike or moped on the island (more info here: https://www.blockislandchamber.com/rentals-bikes-cars-and-mopeds). 3 - taxis are very common on the island, contact info here (NOTE - a lot of taxi's are cash only!): https://www.blockislandchamber.com/cabs

T.F. Green Airport
For those flying into the area T.F. Green Airport in Providence, RI would be the closest. It is only 30 minutes from the Block Island ferry terminal in Point Judith, RI.

The fastest way to get to the island is to fly, with flights leaving daily from Westerly, RI.

The Block Island Ferry
Not exactly a flight but this is the most popular way to get to the island. The New London ferry does not run this time of year so all ferries will leave from Point Judith, RI. There is both a highspeed (30 minutes travel time) and slow speed boat (1 hour travel time) that will get you to the island with departure times throughout the day. If you are planning to take a car (which you do not need to) you will need to take the slow ferry and it is encouraged to book soon as these reservations fill up. Book online or call to make a reservation. Car and passenger tickets are now open for September.
