Can I bring my children?

Answer

Absolutely! We love all the kiddos in our life and want them to share in our big day if possible, but you know best how to keep them happy and healthy! The ceremony will be outdoors and should not last more than 30 minutes, and then there will be dinner and dancing indoors. Please do include children in your RSVP so we have a seat and food for them! There will not be any day care or babysitting organized as part of the wedding.

What about COVID?

Please protect yourself and others! Although the vast majority of attendees are vaccinated, we must stay vigilant as new variants emerge and risk levels continue to fluctuate. We will not be requiring proof of vaccination and the venue Shirley Acres does not require proof nor masks, although guests are encouraged to protect themselves by all means possible! Where should I stay?

We have reserved rooms at a special rate for two hotels nearby the Shirley Acres venue. Please visit the Travel page of our website for more details. Also, feel comfortable to book a hotel in the city as the venue is within 30 minutes of downtown Houston!

What about transportation?

Answer

Houston is a large, spread out city where public transportation is limited to buses and a light rail system downtown, so you will need to decide if you prefer to Uber / Lyft or rent a car for your trip. Fortunately, Houston has no shortage of ride share options which are generally available at all hours of the day. There will be limited shuttle service from one of the hotels to and from Shirley Acres on the day of the wedding.
