Angelo was introduced to Billie by Anne Urban - a mutual friend. It took him a while to reach out to her. He had not dated in more than 40 years and had been married to a wonderful woman for more than 41 years. Making that call or sending a message was difficult for him. He's a guy who takes his time, thinks through decisions and he doesn't rush big decisions. Dating was a big decision. Billie, too, was in no rush to have him call. Her heart was still wounded and she wasn't even sure she wanted to date. She was finally beginning to get on with her life after a marriage of 38 years. Being single was easier than managing a man in her life. However, when Angelo finally did make the first move, she accepted his invite. They met at Bistro Aix - a locally owned restaurant - and both of them laughed and had a wonderful evening. It was a slowing moving relationship. There were no fights and when they were together, they had a lovely time. Both took things slow and while it was too slow for others watching them, it was just the right "slow" for them. They enjoyed concerts, movies, eating out, conversing on the balcony in the sky & attending anything that made them laugh. On January 1, 2019 Angelo proposed to Billie in the middle of the fireworks welcoming 2019. He had secretly asked his son and daughter in love and Billie's children to attend a night to watch the fire works and then watch him propose. It was a fantastic proposal! Billie was totally surprised and it has been a lot of "managing tasks" since that night. They have undertaken a remodel at Angelo's, worked their businesses, emptied closets and prepared for a wedding. They understand marriage and going into this new marriage with their eyes wide open. They are delighted to spend the rest of their lives together and take care of each other as age shows up in their lives. However, the Adorbs (Angelo & Billie) believe Age & Glasses of Wine should never be counted! We love God and each other.
